in my opinion i would do it stock to get a feel for it and then do it with a suspension setting you like. so you can get the experience you want

thanks, but i'm actually putting it back up to stock because i'm not a fan of it being lowered because of the snow and where i live just isn't good for it. my cv joint is wearing out because of the wear and tear the lowering thing does on it, so although everyone's so against it going stock, i'm doing it anyway because i;d rather have that than fix a bunch of parts because of it. and i probably won't ever autocross it. it was just a thought and something i'd like to do.

Hi from oHIo
Hi to another person IN ohio. I bet your getting tired of all the same autocross comments by now huh. :p I know what you mean about wanting to raise it back up to stock height. I'm currently buying one that was lowered 2". Its basically been a snow shovel for the previous owner the last month and a half. He hit some ice, nosed a wall and now its going to be mine and he's off buying a cherokee.

Welcome...
You can look into coilovers.. You can raise it up for winter, and lower it for summer. The height of the car does set a nice look to it.

Before you start going mod crazy, it would be a good idea to do some research. Really sit down and think about what you want to do, then go for it.
Great advice.

Goodluck, keep us updated.

Keep it lowered and then be like me and just buy a 4x4 for the winter... small cars like that dont' seem to get around that great in snow anyway

Yeah, that's how mine is. We just got something like 10" where I'm at...and my baby just acted like a plow truck. I keep getting stuck in the parking lot (because they didn't plow the spaces) and it's just an overall terrible experience. But I called some places for price estimates to get the stock springs put on, and they said it'd be around 500$ so I said no thanks and I'll just suffer through it. I guess everyone else on this thread is happy now haha.
