Close. People dont do this to trick others into thinking its a Vtec motor. They do it to make their engines more powerful. The b18A1 engine is a non-Vtec engine. Putting the C7 head(Vtec) onto the A1 block(non-Vtec) will produce the LS/Vtec engine. As what others have said, This car is not worth 13,000. Its a replica, and you cannot be sure how reliable the motor is unless it was built by a reputable shop and has receipts proving that. If the person you want to buy this from built the engine himself, you cannot be sure that it was put together correctly.
