You want to get an exhaust before you get a header. or at the same time :D . Intake is just an easy and cheaper mod to start with. That's why I said it first. A header won't do anything if it is still bolted to the restricted stock exhaust

I would try to stay away from the cheap stuff and EBAY crap. You get what you pay for. Greddy, RS*R, Magnaflow, HKS, Apexi, Skunk2, Spoon....etc. There is alot of good brands. I depends on what you want performance and noise wise. Greddy EVO2, RS*R ExMag and Apex World Sport are some of the better exhaust that are on the quieter side.

Some things NOT to buy:

Ignition upgrades (MSD stuff)
Intake manifold
AEM fuel rail

Only Tegs with turbo's need these things, but their common items that newbie's waste their money on.

Crappy brands to avoid:

TenzoR
APC
Pacesetter
Airmass
Chikara

And DC Sports is overrated.

i HAD an auto ls. rep those autos baby! and really depends what you want to do. if you want power get an inkate as a 1st mod (better than exhaust, still quiet and youll love hearing it). now if you want cornering (witch i highly recomend for autos. its what i did, built all handling. b/c auto just cant be real fast. untill you get some N2O. but thats later) get some nice sticky tires (i reccomend yokohoma avs es100, or falken azeins (sp)) and thatll be a good 300 bux. or you might get lucky and find some nicer tires kinda worn on some rims.

some people have been saying that I should get a high flow cat well that be ne use too me?
itll do alot. BUT you will have to get a stock diameter cat. and that will need to be replaced to a larger one once you get a header
