@ Tom yes I'll be at Raceline Saturday. So we can talk more and even better physically show you how it was wired/set up.
I will be there too. If I can find a spare ecu laying around, you can have it for free. I'll bring it on sat if I do.

Thanks for the photos. I see what I was looking for but can't tell what I was wondering about. I'll try to ask a friend about I before Saturday.

I also have a obd1 ecu I thought we could test run but I remembered its prob go a b16 base map on it.

If you guys do that would be awesome. I will take my spare ecu as well even though the car like crap with it It would be so badass to get my vtec working again.

I did some quick research (<3 google) to find the answer i was looking for. You run the dizzy that matches your engine harness. Im pretty sure obd2 dizzy uses 1 plug so if they converted it somehow, my guess is they just rewired it if that is even possible. And another quick google search answered that one. Possible. So now that i know, none of it is releveant to any issue of which dizzy youre running for the ecu. :mrgreen: So the last thing im wondering is if a obd1 ecu was necessary since its a jdm motor.

I just googled my last answer and if youre obd1 jdm b18c then you would run a obd1 ecu because of sensors unless it was changed to match obd2 on the motor. I think the odds that the motor was obd2 jdm is low but... possible.

Didnt know what mine were like either til i pulled them off. Kinda didnt care but after seeing them, naturally im more careful about speed bumps.

yea mine are pretty smashed and the previous owner didn't fess up to them being smashed like that,when I can I will have them replaced.

Ok just an update here. I am going tomorrow to Raceline and run another baseline on the dyno... now that I have a borrowed dizzy from Tom and I put back original ecu (P72) I will post the results once they are in. Tom I called hmotors and unfortunately they were out of obd2 dizzys so I am gonna have to keep searching.

Update with new game plan.

Did they say how long it before they get more? They usually get crates once a month or better.

update I spoke to a guy at hmotors and he told me that they usually get new shipments every 2 weeks, however I did find a dizzy on CL for $100 bucks I hit the guy up and he told me that he still has it so hopefully I can meet up with him today and pick it up.

Here's my 2nd. dyno run.....



Much better than before I was hoping to at least hit 140-145whp....Had a discussion with Elton and he said that I will eventually need a rebuild...but then in the discussion we leaned towards a b20vtec option which I am really leaning towards since I already have everything with the exception on the b20 short block....the block will be built right with higher compression pistons and valve train upgrade as well. PLANS FOR 2013 STAY TUNED... ( HA HA Get it?)
