yeah i know the paint is going to come off, but only where the pad hits the rotor. im painting a few things different colors but the intake is coming off in a few months after i have the money to get a skunk2 black edition. im not real fond of the calipers so i think im going to go buy some metallic purple and see if that looks better. i found some wheels i like and when i get them the lip is going to be purple chrome. trying to get that hks purple look on a few things

well i decided the paint on the calipers sucked so i went with a metallic purple and put my intake back together
also i painted some mounts with the metallic red.
these are the metallic paints but when you run a gray primer under them they come out these colors. i didnt trust putting the paint on with out having a good primer coat and the pieces turned out pretty good anyways.

hey man good progress on the build, this car is going to look pretty sweet when it is done. im not to sure about everything being painted different colors, but i do like the color choices you are choosing. keep up the good work man!

i just picked up a b18b motor with head and valve cover that had a spun rod bearing. i got it for 70 and i just wanted the head n valve cover, but when i picked it up i got a little surprise, sitting on the crank set an all aluminum 8lbs flywheel with almost no wear. not sure of the brand will find out when i get it off in a day or two. thought that was pretty kool

ive done a few more pieces
threw on front tow hook
re did all my wiring harness and painted the fire wall and frame
me and my little girl were messing with the car and she decided we had to paint the tranny cause it was ugly. just temporary till i get my new one to put in
threw on a rear tow hook, and sprayed that brake lights with the lens tint. i love the way it looks
i know my hood has a lot of different color paints on it. i used it for a table. going to either repaint it if i cant get a carbon fiber one first

You paint the hub, not the entire rotor. Have you installed these yet? I would assume they would perform like crap, and the paint would gum up the pads.i bought the non stainless rotors so i had to paint so they wouldnt rust
If you havent, strip that paint off of the pad surface.

the car i want a copper tone black. and for the rotors its just mainly over spray on the actual rotor it will come off pretty easy and no nothing except what i have showed on the car is on the car. thanks for all the comments guys. hopefully i will have a running motor in it this month.

i had a pretty bad set back so here are some more pics before and after of what im doing now
this is what i got done so far.
my setback. i went to a shop locally here in knoxville called rons imports and told him what i was doing to my car and that i was getting eagle h beam rods for it. now i was reccomended to this guy from several people saying he can get what ever i wanted. so i go to his shop and have him order me a set of 40 over piston and rings for the tegg. i got them they looked fine and i wasnt paying attention until my machine shop called me a couple of days after i dropped them off with my rods that they would not work. the pistons he ordered me were for a stock rod setup that had to be set to the rod. well if anyone here knows anything about eagle h beams is that they are designed for a floating pin. no bug deal right i will just take them back and get him to order the right ones figured there was a mix up in the paper work. should have known when i purchased them they were only 200 bucks that it wasnt going to be that simple. but i was trying to save some money. ni called the guy told him what was going on and the response i get was that we ordered the right piston for your car and there is nothing i can do for you. you will have to go with a stock rod.i explained my plan with this motor again to him. still the same response. after 20 min. of arguing on the phone with this dumb fuck i decided to just try and sell them and tell every one about his rude ass additude and not giving a damn about his customers.heres what i got
if anyone needs them. hit me up i want 100 bucks for them. come with the pins and rings.
decided im going with a complete build and towed it to a friends garage to work on it for the winter. heres what i have done so far with the head have a little more to go before im done with it but its alot better.
im going to go with a fully adjustible skunk 2 coil over strut and spring. couple of more weeks will have new tie rods brake lines and hoses. new calipers rijpped out the abs its gone. cost me 150 for the kit but im glad i did it.going to go with skunk 2 lower control arms and camber kits for front and rear. have to have all new wheel bearings and axles on the front. taking the frame in a few weeks to the body shop to have the frame stretched and squared. full race traction bar setup. engine mounts, polyurethane bushings, small wire tuck. still trying to decide if i still want to go all motor or if i want to invest in to a turbo and run a 10 to 5 compression with a 10 lb boost. will see what happens in the next couple of months. sorry for such a long post havent had time to really look at my other post much less work on this one so i just wrapped it up in to one
