Get the hell out! I didn't know that. But yea I agree on sometime type of control to split the power between the front and back. Like the old lancers use to have.
Yep! I know HKS makes an electronic torque split controller in Japan that is compatible with EVO's and Skylines. Not sure if they will ever have to work with the MSP6 though. Something would need to be done though with that drivetrain. Doesn't it have like 60/40 F/R torque split? It should be opposite of that!

You know if its a open or closed deck block?
It is a sand cast, closed deck, aluminum block with iron sleeves cast into it. It has lightweight, low-friction coated alloy pistons, forged rods, and a nodular iron crank

Most powerful fwd production vehicle ever:D
How much wheel hp does it put down though? The 215hp SRT-4 puts 223whp stock which makes it ALOT closer than the stock rating imply

From Automobile Magazine.......obviously!

Mazda is known for optimistic power ratings. They even revised their factory power claims on the RX-8 after SCC Mag called their bullshit and pointed it out to the world

I know they rated at 15.6 psi or something like that but I would be curious to see if it holds that till redline. The engine or turbo can't be that inefficient at high rpms

yea I've seen that graph and some others that was one of the lower ones. The big thing on the dyno was the intercooler getting heat soaked after repeated runs and inproper cooling which led to lower power numbers, As for boost, on the boost guage it shows 10psi in first and second and 15 in the rest of the gears but yea it actually holds it prettly much the whole way.

the 215 hp srt..is an 03...the 04-05 is rated at 230..but ive seen those dyno in the low 240's stock. Ive never dyno'd mine but Ive been told that with my mods I shold be in the low to mid 280's on pump gas near 300 on 'race" gas

I could see the heat soak happening with a top mount I/C. But it probably happens a little anyway when driving around so it still seems like a semi-fair, real world number. Something needs to be loosened up in that head to help that high rpm flow. I bet cams would work wonders on this car.....and an FMIC for sure

Oh man, CAMS! I can't wait, haha, probablly won't be happening for a while, but I agree, some tuning and better air flow and its on from there. Hey man, I'm coming over that way probablly around febuary some time, on my way down to Corpus Christi, maybe there'll be something going on to meet up at?

Yeah. There is generally a consistent flow of fairly large meets going on in Houston. We got a good one coming up this Saturday. Hopefully I make it for a little bit, but my best friend is having a Bday bash the same day
