Bought a VTEC solenoid from the JDM shop I use to go for $90 but I only used the top portion since JDM solenoid don't come with pressure switches. He threw in the grey spark plug cover that came with the engine for $30. Installed it and finally had VTEC again with no CEL. The coolant temp sensor had gotten fucked up while I was cleaning my engine bay so I had to find a new sensor connector. I noticed that the sensor on the P/S hose was the same so I took it out, cut it, used butt connections to connect the wires from the sensor to the coolant temp and taped everything up, worked well. I've been wanting to degrease my engine but this stupid rain hasn't given me the chance. No pictures either

I also ordered a couple of OEM things, I installed a new A/C belt since mines was done near destroyed. My car doesn't want to die whenever I turn the A/C on now. I also ordered a new Alternator belt but it still hasn't came in yet. I ordered a new hood prop clip, sunroof switch since mines doesn't work anymore, and a used left A-pillar cover. When I was installing the oil pressure gauge, I fucked up the tabs and so the cover didn't fully clip on to the chassis. With this new one, I took my time with clipping it on and now it looks much cleaner, no more wires hanging out

I have noticed that my oil pressure psi drops to 11-10 psi at idle after hitting VTEC - When it's usually around 19-22psi. Buddy of mine said that my car smokes whenever I speed up while driving so I assumed it's burning oil. I checked my spark plugs and they still look alright, cylinder 2 was a little oily, just around the thread though. Thinking of getting new plugs.
Cylinder #1

Cylinder #2

Cylinder #3

Cylinder #4

I do smell burnt up oil from inside the car, possibly from oil falling onto the header. I have no leaks near the VTEC solenoid and my oil pan gasket is still holding up well. I do want to take off the Golden Eagle LS/V sandwich plate and just run a steel braided line from the cross-fitting that I have from my oil pressure sensor to the cylinder head but I need to figure out the thread; It still has one port open. The only noticeable oil spillage on the engine is coming directly from the PCV filter I have on my valve cover. Too much positive crankcase pressure wouldn't cause me to lose THAT much oil, or would it?

Realized that I've never done my valve adjustment so I'm planning to do them this friday. I'm going by the specs of a B16a2 engine since that's the cylinder head that I have. I bought the special tool from amazon, feeler gauges from my job, and a new valve cover gasket set from my job as well.

Also bought some NGK Iridium plugs for my car and a fuse for my sunroof, it finally opens again

Woah, you definitely need new plugs.

Also the discoloration on the upper insulator suggests you're over-torquing the spark plug and may have distorted or broken the seal between the metal shell and porcelain insulator, which causes combustion gases to leak into the spark plug boot and blow it off the spark plug. If a spark plug boot keeps blowing off, suspect a seal leak caused by an over-torqued spark plug. The other thought given the amount of debris and build up on the lower portion of the plug is that the spark plug tube gaskets might be leaking and the oil is getting burnt off by the hot plug.

Speaking of insulator, your lower insulator should not be that color, looks like you are running rich or are getting poor spark. Potentially a result of the above comment.

Thanks for the input. I installed some new plugs in today and the car runs much better. I just went out and torqued the spark plugs to 13 ft-lbs (specs according to my haynes manual). Maybe that burning oil I smell from inside the car is coming from the oil seeping into the spark plug holes from the worn out rings. I have a feeling that the car is running rich but isn't throwing me a code; I've been smelling a strong fuel scent every once in a while from inside the car and my fuel milage has been garbage lately (less than 250 miles per tank) and also my friend says that my car blows a light grey smoke from the exhaust. I've changed my distributor back in November and I'll check the resistance in my wires to see if they're still good but I'm pretty sure the engine is running rich.
Here's pics of the last time I checked my plugs back in october.

They didn't look as bad as they did now. I changed my fuel filter just this month as well. Could be my fuel injectors, I used some obd1 injectors since my original ones cracked when I accidentally dropped them in the floor. Could be also a bad o2 sensor or the fact that I desperately need a tune and this chipped ecu needs a new chip.

EDIT: I replaced my o2 sensor about last year when I got my rep hytech header. The only vacuum leak I notice is from the IM, someone fucked up the thread on the cylinder head so no bolt can tighten down the IM down but that's ALWAYS been there. Didn't really give me a problem back then.

idk I do it by sound and feel. I can hear the crush washer crushing. I used to crush it, pull it out to visually inspect then tightedn. The plug will stop when its fully torqued.

I think I know what you're talking about, last night I heard cylinder #3 and #4 make a crushing sound when I torqued them down and then the toque wrench clicked. I'll go back and tighten the two plugs till I hear the noise from them.
