so0o0oo0o0o onto the real deal motor build. where we get your hands dirty, greasy, oily, blooddy, cut up, and sore. lol.
finally had time this weekend to do what i said i was gonna do years ago... yank out that fucking motor. called up the buds and we got the party started. this was my first time pulling out the motor and all in all, yanking the motor out doesn't take too long. 2 hours for a pro, 4-5 hours for me but i had someone helping me and guiding me. the more time consuming is disassembly and clean up. i didn't anticipate on the HUGE MESS. but hey, you gotta get down and dirty someimes... your garage too... lol.
where did the motor go?
after disassembling everything and inspecting everything ourselves before we send it out to the shop. we can see where there is some intense wear and could possibly be the problem to the loud knocking. aside from a corrosion and a lil damage on cylinder 1, there was some wear and deep scratches on the crank bearings i believe its called? shit wasn't a pretty sight.
BTW - DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE VIN# IS LOCATED OF IF IT HAS ONE? 1994 USDM OBD1 B18C1
with everyone out, its time to make some final decisions on what i need to do next. i have a couple ideas running through my mind, but we'll see what happens when it happens.
