I wanted to get them, and paint them silver and then have the letters in red. Damn that would be sexy as hell...because it would match the red in the CI sticker, then red for the ITR valve cover I want when I get my build done, and the ITR interior with the red sticting seats.

Hey Khoa, I'm planning to get a NASA membership and register for the (HPDE) High Performance Driving Event on July 7 and 8. I was wondering if you wanna come along, since you've been wanting to see what you DB is made of. Just let me know if you're interested. The event will take place at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosemond.

how much? last time i checked it was like 4+ hours to get there :p. i'll probably have to get a motel or something..

bts some UPDATES.

my kenwood failed on me twice, once i sold to a friend it lasted 2 months then blew. bought a mp3 one from another and the p.o.s. doesn't read cds anymore. so i posted a wtb ad on honda-tech for a 99-00 OEM Honda Civic SI CD Playerand BAM, a local came through :thumbs up . . decided to go with the oem shit cause hopfully its reliable, it was cheap ($40), and was picky so i wanted the amber.

Plan:
INSTALL A OEM CD PLAYER USING AN AFTER MARKET 4-CHP AMP.+ Component / Speakers

the hard part is that the OEM cd player does not have rca outputs. also using aftermarket speakers on the stock deck is also bad in some cases cause the ohm differences. it causes the deck to become VERY HOT and can eventually fry it. so what you'll need are rca converters or line out converters. luckly i received these for free from a friend  .... thats what friends are for right? 8) . theses would probably cost round $15 each, more or less on brand and how many channels.

another thing you gotta think about is the remote wire on the amp, the OEM stereos usually don't come with a remote wire. but what this remote wire is basically a 12v power source that turns on when the car is on. this is just a signal to the amp when to turn on and off. there's an empty slot on the fuse box under the dash s you can use a female plug.

94-97 Diagram - you'll want to use the accessory wire.

the total install is pretty simple. matching up the speaker wires from the OEM plug to the converter and the power wires to the afterket adapter that plugs into the stock harness. i already have my components and system already installed so it was didn't take long.

i'll snap more pics tonite to show the amber, not to be "JDM" but it looks way better than the green :thumbdown

special thanks to TegSox, Speedin, & graveyardhippie for helping me in my other post

the quality of the system isn't bad as people said. still loud, crisp, and clear. the amp still needs some tunning but it sounds great! i love it

btw i think its time to get a s2k cluster to match with the amber cd player ;)

OOH...a S2K cluster?
yup!

and cause ya'll know i'm a pic whore :p , some night shots of the amber color. i like the color on the cd player, its dark orange. the orrange bulbs on the cluster make it seem too light. but that'll change ;)

when i have $$$ and time i'll have it done.

Yo Khoa! Are you still down to hit the track?
the only thing i'm debating right now is the maintainace for the car and the long drive. i'll probably be down to do a touge run or something tho.

the track will have to wait til i can get some more upgrades

i'm thinking about trading my titanium grey 15x6.5 volk ce28n for some white 16x7 volk te-37's... straight trade. i've always wanted 16's and loved the te-37's since the 2000... but the ce28n's are different. what do you guys think? i need some opinions to help me decide

titanium grey 15x6.5 volk ce28n
-- OR --
white 16x7 volk te-37's
