UPDATE - 4/6/07
i forgot to post pics of rotor + brake job with the ebc stuff, so i'll included it along with the icebox install
EBC Rotor + Green Pads Install
so yea, i found a deal on some EBC rots + pads and i jumped on it. $120 . decided to install them and put ebc to the test. the install was very easy, if you know how to change brake pads, then this is no problem at all.
Tools:
mini- sledge hammer // impact screw driver // 12mm // 17mm
OEM
remove these 2 17mm bolts to remove the caliper in order to remove the rotor.
comparison of the oem rotor vs EBC dimpled + slotted rotor
Aftermath:
all the goodies installed together
RESULTS - after testing out the ebc rotor + green pads. they do a very good job of stopping power, aside from the strong oder of the pads during agressive braking... but eh what you'd expect. the only downfall is the whistling upon braking, its kinda annoying. i'm c0o with it tho. all in all its better than stock.
btw this is the book that helps me SOMETIMES, its sorta of a good guide, better if it had more diagrams, HELMS manuals are very good and helpful
Comtech IceBox Install:
came up on a good deal locally, seller was even nice enough to deliver it while i'm at work  cool guy. $130 . used condition, comes with a comptech filter, pretty dirty so it'll need a cleaning / recharge. ithe install is very simple, takes less than 30 mins more or less to do it. you'll need to remove the front bumper tho. all you'll need is the basic 10mm and probobly an extention along with a flat head or so to remove the oem intake.
pics of the icebox:
isn't the filter supposed to be blue? lol guess cause its dirty as fawk.
any case there's water... thats what these hoels are for
lets see you DIY guys beat 3.5" 8)
before
after removing the stock intake and you'll need to remove the coolant resivour - enough space to squeeze it in... haha
you'll need it to rotate it 90' right and turn it couter clockwise to drop it in. i'll rub a bit on one of the ac lines i think so i wrapped a bit of tape to protect the icebox a bit fro mrubbing.
Aftermath:
so yea, after the installed i had to test it. i like the results. more of a punch after 5k RPMs. looks like i'm saving some gas too. i'll probably pick up the comptech filter cleaner / recharger from acura for 15 bucks or so, you guys think its worth it? or can i buy any filter cleaner from pep boys or wal-mart or something?
