That splitter is sexy time lol
Thanks!

Looks good! Nice craftsmanship. It looks like a piece you'd be able to sell mass quantities of. :thumbs up
Yeah it looks a hell of a lot better than my first creation - we will see how it does....

looks good, hope it will perform just as good
Yeah me too - i cant see why it wouldnt - now i just have to get a rear wing to compliment it.

Probably will be getting the Special Projects rear wing...

i got a question about your speakers and amp, did it make a big difference? i was thinking about doing the same thing but people are telling me i wont need the amp, i dont really know much about sound systems because i dont care much for them but im just curious?

I will say that it is a little bit louder but the big thing is clarity - when you get a set of aftermarket speakers they have a wattage rating for RMS power (continuous power). If you have less power than the rating when you turn the speakers up loud you get distortion which can blow the speakers - the main thing an external amp does is to match the power rating so the amp is delivering the wattage the speaker needs - and thus performs better.

That's kinda the short and sweet - but yeah it was worth it - and having component speakers where the tweeters are separate and higher up to your ears helps with clarity.

so finally got it out of the garage for a nice pic...

I looked at the splitter from far away and it looked wierd....turns out it wasnt level and was positioned upward...so i took a level to it and adjusted it, but i have to re-do the edging because there is a gap now...also will be putting some edging on the backside so the edging doesnt move under high speeds...

so the car will be being dis-assembled this weekend to make for some new things over the next few months...

1) will be getting rid of my ABS system - the current abs unit is shot and ive gotten a good feel for my brakes and dont need it for track use - will actually be using soft lines (SS braided).

2) Oil cooler - prolly using Mocal/Setrab products - sandwich plate with build in thermostat

teardown begins - bought a used Setrab oil cooler off ebay and got the rest of the brake lines out.

nice, i hope it works good, but does your oil get that hot then?
Abs delete is a good weight loss, i never had it in my teg and don't feel the need for 1

Yeah my oil did get very hot - over 250 which is not good really - with the cooler I'm getting a sandwich plate with a built in thermostat so it will open and close accordingly - believe it's set to open at 190 - so I can run 5-30 oil all year round

Got the oil cooler installed - now just have to run lines and get the thermostat and we should be good to go.
Mounting it how it is was pretty much the easiest position but it is in front of the front bumper support - I will be using a hole saw to cut a few holes to allow more airflow.

Also - used rubber gasket on the mounts to help with vibration - any radiator/cooler should be mounted with rubber.

Using 1/8" aluminum to make the brackets with M6 bolts and locknuts.
Enjoy Pics!
