Im over here thinking it would be nice to have a template to make a splitter and he's over there just drawing it out on the piece of wood. lol Winner.

Does the intake have a vstack on the filter? I was gonna suggest a vstack at the headlight but with the ducting, i dont think its gonna matter. lol Is the ducting smaller than the intake pipe or same size? Inlet looks kinda small. Hows it perform?
Haha yeah I pretty much drew it out by mounting the lip to the wood and spaced out equal measurements...I'm going to be making a cardboard template once I'm done so I can re do it if it breaks.

I used to have a filter with a v stack but just switched over to the inline filter with ducting - the inlets I think are around 2 3/4 and my pipe is 3" it's not that bad though

I thought the optimal setup would be to have good flow to the filter but im not sure if that isnt enough air flow considering its ram air style. But i do believe a vstack on the filter is still ideal. Have you been able to feel a difference or any plans to see dyno results? Id love to see if it produces.

I will probably be doing a re dyno in the spring summer - my main thing is keeping the intake temps down because with the old one with no ducting and the v stack w/filter did get heat soak

Splitter is done!

Here is the cost breakdown for anyone wanting to try this.
1/2" maple plywood - approx $60-80 from hardware store
Garden edging - $10
Rivets and rivet gun (if you dont have) - $20
Bolts/Hardware - $10
10MM APR front splitter rods - $85
ITR front lip (I had) - 0$

Total = $205

If you compare this to the Special Projects/PCI one that is $500 - its a nice savings and you appreciate it more because you did it your self. If you take your time and do it little by little (took me around a month or so to build working on this a few hours each Saturday) it will turn out pretty good. Now i will say that doing it yourself its not 100% perfect - my splitter is not perfectly round because I hand drew it - and it does take around 25 min to bolt everything together but it is still really sturdy and provides the same function - plus aesthetically i think i looks really good.

For rear support i used the stock tow hooks, welded a circular disc of metal on the bottom and drilled holes in them to mount bolts in the back of the splitter.

If anyone has any questions i'm happy to answer them. I got most of my info from OZ Honda

Also, where are the front brackets mounted to? Thadya has front brackets, but they're mounted higher to go into the frame and support to movement the splitter will have under heavy pressure

But the special projects splitter and air dam removes and replaces in less than 5 minutes
Yeah that's pretty much the big downfall of mine as it takes longer to install but it did cost me a whole lot less - imma try to figure out a quick detachable way and re do it

The front splitter rods are into the bumper - I put a lot of pressure on it before hand to see how it would hold and it does just fine

Looks good! Nice craftsmanship. It looks like a piece you'd be able to sell mass quantities of. :thumbs up
