Yes it should be fine as long as the engine can take it. You need to do some serious research. Educate yourself. Post as many questions as you need help with. I as well as many others will try and help you the best we can.
o ive been researching for a while now but i'll continue to and post up as many questions as i need answered...thanks again guys and thanks slow

yeah, it shouldbe fine as long as you take care of the car and check everything out before going to boost. i'd would definitely do a compression and leak down test. the internal vs external wastegate question just depends on what kind of turbo you want. for 6 psi, a small, fast spooling turbo would be great which and an internal wastegate will be perfectly fine at those levels. greddy or mitsu turbos have internal wastegates. a most garret or hks turbos will be external (except the small t25 or t28 ) and t3 and t3/t4 hybrids are external. there is no need for a t3/t4 if you plan on staying at 6psi. i have a greddy/mitsu td05-18g thats ported and clipped that i might sell if i don't put it on the next car i buy

hyow much, i am in the middle of building another boosted engine. and that would be great for now. Clipped?? how fast do you reach full boost?

not sure if i am going to sell yet. i had it on my eclipse and it would spool to 15 psi at about 5000. 8 psi by about 3500. was going put it on my GSR b/c its almost identical to one the one greddy uses on the gsr kit. all i would need is a greddy manifold. but GSR got totaled so i'm in the thinking proccess. gonna hold onto it for a minute in case i buy another gsr or eclipse

cool. i'm still car shopping but i'll let you know. it came with the greddy turbo upgrade, its a good turbo but i just got a garret gt3037 put on my eclipse. i just know it would be easy for me to put it on a gsr thats why i'm not sure. greddy manifold and downpipe would bolt right up.

made my eclipse haul ass! ran mid 12's consistently on street tires. had a greddy turbo upgrade, speaco intercooler, greddy exhaust, greddy emanage and exedy clutch. and it isn't even setup for drag racing

if slow doesn't want it let me know if ur gonna sell that turbo too :D and at 6psi on stock internals what do u think i'll be able to put down as far as hp numbers. Tuned well i was reading around 240 to the wheels but i wanted to know what u guys thought...it would be intercooled and with hondata

No way 240. hope for about 180-200 whp. thats about 220-240 to the crank. 6 psi is not a lot and that 18g is on the small side, with little gains on the top end. that turbo in a GSR would not be great for highway race. it would dominate 1/4 mile, but the power will taper off in high rpms. maybe 6psi on a t4 could pull the 240 whp.

18g is plenty for 6 psi. the stock internal wastegate allows more than that. i think its set at 8. that thing put out 16 psi in my eclipse all the way to 7500rpm redline.

REALLY??? i thought dsm's loose power after 6500 rpms. i did not know they had full boost all the way to redline. this on a stock engine/ stock boost levels??

they feel weak ontop with the stock turbo because which is a tiny t25. the 18g is a decent step up from the stock one. it will produce plenty of boost.
