That's what I do. Let them know my car's stick.G3GirL said:yeah. when i see cars coming now, i just try to let my car roll back a little so they know not to get all on my ass. never fails.
i agree on that also. either that just be able to master and catch everything smoothly so you barely even roll an inch. that was the way i was taught and i take every hill like a champ.dc2GS-R said:Wouldn't it make more sense just to let the clutch out a little till it starts to engage while still on the brake. Then when you let go of the brake give a little gas and ease off the clutch like normal that way you don't roll backwards on a hill and it looks like you actually know how to drive

sure, if you're used to the car you're driving and know when your clutch starts to grab and stuff. i didn't. i'd start to worry everytime the car rolled back. even if it was just an inch, it felt like a freaking foot when i was learning. the e-brake method was more of a safety net for me. like i said, i tried it maybe once, but it's nice to know that it's an option when you're first starting off. comforting, if you will.dc2GS-R said:Wouldn't it make more sense just to let the clutch out a little till it starts to engage while still on the brake.
