Hey guys I have some questions to ask the pros here on this forum. I've used this forum for a while and just became a member.

I have a 97 Integra gs. The b18b1 engine is bone stock except for an intake and exhaust. I want to add some more hp. I want to gain hp without boosting right away. What are the steps I take to add hp and keep my engine naturally aspirated.

One way I know of is to do a gsr head swap, thus building an lsvtec engine. Or would I be better off doing a full engine swap? I just need guidance of what to do next to get the most out of my integra. I need to know what steps to take.

If you're going to eventually boost don't waste the money doing an NA build. Choose either one

Yeah, first you need to make up your mind. Modifications will be very different based on your goals and the way you will achieve them... one tip, get on Google... read a lot. And go thru build threads on here to check out other peoples setups.

I kinda wanna stay N/A but that won't get me the gains I want without a major build.

I guess I should have been clearer, my question is should I boost (turbo or super) or build and stay with naturally aspirated

Also, DC Guardian, my b18b1 is non-vtec.

he meant are you sure about turbocharging after you do a ls/vtec swap or complete b18c swap

in my opinion just stay with the b18b1 and go turbo, checkout go-autoworks for kits and just do research on what supporting mods you need to do when turbocharging your car

Do what you want, its your car not ours lol. What are your plans for it? Gonna track it? No point in spending all that money for power you won't be able to use.

I should have meant ls vs gsr trans, vtec isnt the decision with boosting, the trans is. My mistake

I am new to the cite like I said, sorry for posting in new thread. No I'm not going to track it. I just want to get it up to say 220-240 hp. I just wanted input on what's the best way to get there from a bone stock b18b1

Lol didn't even notice that.

Well, then boost would be the easiest way. Or build a mean NA motor, then it wouldn't be too streetable. Then again, you could just get a jdm itr motor and build the head up and get bolt ons... That would do alright.
What makes you want 220-240hp? You would be better off maybe telling us what you wish to achieve all together with the car, do you want a higher winding motor with no bottom end, low end power, throttle response?..... HP is just a number, people get too hung up on that s***.. It's too broad lol.
