Its much cheaper to buy a car thats already done then it is to build one. The sad thing is you get so balls deep in a car that you can't turn back, won't get your money back regardless if you try selling as a whole or parting out and if and when things start to break your stuck either losing money or dumping even more into it. Cars suck lol

Thats why we love them though... its like a marriage. You dump all your money, hopes, and dreams into it, knowing you'll prolly regret it in the end

odds and ends that you'll forget to put on your list and then say oh s*** I forgot I needed those or that lol.
That's why i'm starting my build sheet six months before I even start the build. I'll have this mofo planned and priced all before I even pick up a wrench. 8)

And I'll add in a "Misc Crap" section of my build sheet for all that shit you and I both know I'll forget anyways.

Not nearly as much fun buying something then building it on your own. That's what I love about my Integra, it may look like a pile of crap, but it's MY pile of crap, I rebuilt or fixed every little thing on it. That's why I love it. (And i'm obligated to because I can never get my money back out of it.)

I love them because they go zoom zoom.

i look at my car and hate it, I look at it and think "well theres 20k wasted" and what do you get from it? Nothing really, you go fast on the highway you get tickets, you go to the track and break shit you get to spend more money. Thankfully this is the last car I build, as I have said that since I began building it. I am retiring lol

No one retires from building cars... The bug to keep playing with it or build something new will hit you.. :D

Exactly. Lol. This car's going to cost over 20k i'll bet and I doubt it'll be my last.

to build a 500+whp is not gonna be cheap, counting you use good parts. even with good parts properly build and good tune, things will break. set your goal do it right the first time, and safe yourself from big headach in the future. G/L

ok cool. im trying to push somewere in between 500 and 650...... imstill alil new to the boost game but i do understand that i must build the head somewhat for those kind of results. o and if anyone needs an ls vtec swap im selling one for $700. all its missing is one piston and a valve cover. its a complete head and its also missing a vtec solenoid.
youre going to need to start reading alot. Or youre going to f u c k alot of s h i t up.

Maybe i will be practical about it and build the head and bottom end enuf to still kick ass and be reliable.
Ever heard of the term KISS, or dont fix it if it aint broke?

Plenty of stock heads making 500+ whp, its all in the setup you put on your car and how efficiently everything works together. Find some forced induction articles online, theyre everywhere, and look into how a turbocharger REALLY works.

Alex I have to agree with that one. Sometimes you can cause a lot of damage by not upgrading parts lol. Say running stock rods with 500hp, break a rod and you're also going to lose a cylinder, possibly the whole block and maybe take the piston and head with it.

Bad juju. :thumbs up
