How you like my v-tec?
I know I know...your probably ready to reply quicker than a Type R off the line about how this topic has been done countless times and I should search before posting and blah blah blah.
And trust me...I have searched..and not just this site but I've searched Team-Integra, Hondatech, SuperHonda and I even went to CarolinaHonda...needless to say I found information/opinions about both tranny's, but I never could get a conclusive answer to MY Specific set-up.
So, this is why I'm posting this sad, sorry and Old topic around again like a worn out shoe.
I have a LS/Vtec setup (GSR Head w/ LS Bottom). I recently had a B16 Tranny and it took a dive so I'm looking to get either a Type-R or the GSR tranny.
Type R: Because for the obvious, LSD helps Off The Line and the gears are tall like the B16.
GSR: It's cheaper (for one) and the gears are longer. And I've been told GSR tranny's go better with Turbo set-ups which I plan on doing.
So, my question is with all these variables. Which DO YOU THINK would be better with my set-up? I understand the Type-R is better off the line, but this is my daily driver/racer car so most of my races are in rolling positions so the LSD is not Primary to me. Plus later on I could always add put LSD.
But maybe I'm wrong and Type R is better with Turbo and/or supercharge set-ups. Let me know from your experience...not OPINION please 8)
