Ok its been a while since i updated this soooo i have updates!

pulled the b20 early saturday morning! while the motor was out i cleaned up the bay with some simple green. good stuff :thumbs up also removed a/c

then, me an my bro in law swapped the b16 tranny with the ys1 (the b16 didn't have a clutch disc, and we already know the ys1 works). went and got honda mtf for it tuesday, we dropped in the b16. the header was a bitch to get in! i had to loosen the cross member in order to get it on...there was no clearance otherwise :suprise: maybe that's what you're supposed to do? :what:

it starts just fine except it started squirting oil everywhere near the firewall area. idk what it was so this is where i need your guys' help...i'm sure i plugged everything back to where it needed to be...:2confused

alright, did a lot of stuff since the last time i updated this.

1. it was squirting oil because the head gasket was on upside down and backwards so me and a friend flipped it. yes, i reused the old head gasket :shock: i assumed that since it was rebuilt, it would be fine (although when i saw it, the head gasket didn't look too good. hopefully it lasts until i get another head gasket)

2. i took apart (almost) my b20v 8)

3. sourced a bumper from a junkyard and borrowed my brother in law's hood until i get another one this weekend.

4. my heater inlet hose has nothing to go into. the nipple (i think it is) is plugged off instead, and i have to swap it for the old one from my b20 but it isn't coming out so if anyone can help me with this, please do

i can't but a couple people on g2ic helped me realize i could just get another from honda :suprise: i'm still gonna need to get the plug out though. the part number for the nipple is 19500-PE0-000 but there is no picture on acuraautomotiveparts.org so i'm not exactly sure if that's it or not. i'll find out when i go to honda tomorrow. thanks for the feedback man, your car is sweet :thumbs up

thanks man just use a allen wrench to get that plug out.

i got the plug out! i didn't have an allen wrench so an allen key with a wrench for leverage did the job
got everything hooked up and started the car. it doesn't idle right, but i'm working on that. and it's also leaking oil! soo gay, sometimes i really hate my car :???: got a new hood too, and gave my bro-in-law his back

So it's been a while and I've done some thinking...and I've decided...I'm selling the DA. I need something reliable to get around in come time for school and this car just isn't that. I already picked up another DA for $450. Will get pics of it up later.
