yea might want to check that distributor out. I have one for an ls for cheap if you ever need one.
old thread but im pretty sure thats the problem, we had a couple nice days so i replaced the fuel pump and charged the battery (she was dead) and still did the same thing. So i held the key forward and it ran until i let go out the key. Heading out to get a ignition switch in a bit, hopefully that does it! :twisted:I had the exact same problem with my 95 integra LS about 2 months ago. Im sure yours could be several things but I finally narrowed it down to a defective ignition key switch!
try this with the car ,start it and as soon as it fires up move the key EVER SO SLIGHTLY back towards the direction that you would to make it crank. If she stays running with just a little forward pressure then you found your problem. Just be carefull to only turn it a little towards the cranking position so you dont grind that starter gear. it cost me less than 100 to fix the switch cause I only needed a part of the switch even though they wanted to sell me the whole assembly , key and all !
