Cranks. Fires. Dies..

GHK ALL DAY!!
Im having some trouble with my 95 teg, i went to start it the other morning and it started then just died, i turned the key again, started and then died. As soon as i start the car it fires up but then instantly dies, like its not getting fuel or something, I searched and couldn't find to much on my situation. This happened to me the other night, it did the same thing about 3 or 4 times then started and had a rough idle but ran fine after it warmed up, then i came back home, parked it and i haven't got it to run since. It will fire right up but then it dies two seconds later and if i give it a little bit of gas it revs up then bogs and shuts off. The only thing Ive done so far to to diagnose the problem was change the fuel filter but still nothing.

Can also be the fuel pump? I'm sure your problem has to do with the fuel system some where not working properly.

well before you replace the fuel pump turn off your radio so that you will be able to hear if the fuel pump is kicking on. I say turn the key to the on and off about 3 or 4 time

I had the exact same problem with my 95 integra LS about 2 months ago. Im sure yours could be several things but I finally narrowed it down to a defective ignition key switch!
try this with the car ,start it and as soon as it fires up move the key EVER SO SLIGHTLY back towards the direction that you would to make it crank. If she stays running with just a little forward pressure then you found your problem. Just be carefull to only turn it a little towards the cranking position so you dont grind that starter gear. it cost me less than 100 to fix the switch cause I only needed a part of the switch even though they wanted to sell me the whole assembly , key and all !

the best thing that you can do is pull the fuel line off and put it inside a bottle and turn the car on and if fuel goes into the bottle then you are getting fuel. You should check your distributor because it can be your rotor button i had the same problem if it goes out than the car will not fire right.

i had the same problem.......and alot of people do...
First thing i would do is check and if needed replace the plugs, wires, then the dist, fuel filter, ignition coil and then try getting a new key.

I replaced everything trying to fix this problem it ended up being the coil which takes no time to change but will run about 70 buxs 100 if you want a good one.

If it still exists check the fuel pump, just turn your key one position and you should hear it kick on for 2 seconds.
