I broke driveshafts on a 600+hp inline 6 I think thats excusable. As for doing routine maintenance, thats bad why, sorry I'm not gonna be the dumbass that never pops the hood for 100k miles and then has a couple thousand dollar bill for shit that needs to be fixed but could have been avoided. As for 400k miles, please stop exagerating. As for the track, who the fuck cares, do you drive a race car to work everyday cause I sure as fuck don't. Of course BMW's cost more to own they cost more to buy, a porshe costs an annual of $2000 a year to properly maintain, I guess because of that Honda's are better and more reliable then them too. Honda's are great for the price and reliable yes, but if not properly taken care of they will break like anything else.

so what you drove your BMW with 600+hp to work. I never said routine maintenance is bad, I just witnessed my dad teach me and both of my brothers how to drive in an 83 accord and he barely ever changed the oil and just neglected his poor car, and it lasted i believe 383,000 to be specific I'm not saying thats the way to go. I pop my hood all the time and change my oil every few thousand. I'm sorry to tell you nothing costs a couple grand to fix on an 83 accord. I never said anything about cost either. I believe in a pevious quote someone asked why would someone put a honda engine when you could get a BMW for cheaper. and cost means nothing about reliability. I would love to drive a new porche. own one never unless it was a gift. there is no reason to swear, i apologize for the comment on the bike. I have been training with honda and I have a DPTS # and a Dealer # and I have worked on the race track. A 24 hour race does indeed tell you what motor is reliable to an extent. If you didn't have a race car why did you drive them like one. And I did talk to a man that taught me for roughly 600 hours on how to build engines and he has been working in the automotive industry since the 70's including BMW, he did say BMW is one of the best right under honda.
