Meanwhile most people don't even know xr650r's have oil filters, most people change the oil at 3k-5k miles, and you never hear of those fuckers blowing up. :lol:

My crf450r was pretty reliable. It took about 90 hours more than the expected life span of the engine for the valves to start causing backfiring... got that serviced, then the fucking clutch basket exploded and ruined the case :lol:

Everything is a pos if you treat it that way lol, I just couldn't pass this up and I'll still have the xr for a backup bike, maintenance isn't a big deal for me

I was just gonna sell that thing, but a part of me has always wished there was something cool I could do with the v4 in it.

Would be cool if I could do something similar to that, but convert it to chain/belt drive, cut up the frame and make a swingarm that would accept like a 190 rear tire, throw some inverted forks on it from a bike with dual discs up front.

Of course I should probably get it running first and see if I even like that engine first. :lol:

No, apparently that is the biggest tire you can fit in an xb9/12's stock swingarm, though I'm not sure how it doesn't rub the belt.

Sigmastek batteries, any of you Ed's heard of em?

F4's battery is finally shitting itself and batterysharks has a sigmastek agm for $30. Figure if it lasts a year it's better than the piece of shit on it that dies if you have to crank it for more than 2 seconds. :lol:

No idea... I've got the Duralast Gold battery that was recommended for the XB, and the terminals are on the wrong sides.
