When is the fan kicking on?
Someone on 1000rr said the thermostat doesn't fully open till 205 so I went out and started it up to let it get warmer, Never opened. Fan suppose to kick on at 220, I let it get all the way to 230 and the fan never even turned on. This bike is just a piece of shit, The fan worked before. Now all of the sudden it doesnt. Neither does a brand new oem thermostat

If this guy doesn't buy it tomorrow i'm calling the dude that offered $2200 and he can have it. I'm done with this bike I need it gone can't deal with it anymore i'll just take the loss. Spent lots of time money and work for nothing

The temp switch or sensor sounds bad, Thermostat might just be because there's air in the system since you just put it in.

The not starting when hot and fan acting weird sounds like a temp switch/sensor.

Fuck it, The guy who picks it up can fix it.

I'm going to drain the coolant back out of it and just tell dude I put the new thermostat in it but I didn't have anymore coolant to put in it. Never have I tried to hide something when selling something like that but I think I have to

I doubt I would even bother, He might get sketched out.

For 3k he can't expect a running, Rideable 06-07 Cbr1000rr, It's just not happening these days.

That would be sketchy, I know I wouldn't buy something like that now that I think about it. Guess i'll just tell him I never got to test it because it was to late at night and never got to bleed the coolant all I did was fill it up

Accel.speed

basically, i like fast!
Man that sucks. He's going to be pissed when he finds out!

Maybe you didn't plug the temp switch back in? for some reason it feels like it might be an easy fix that may not be as obvious?

My buddy and I were trying to get a 99 cbr 600 working and he road it about 100yards before it stalled. He cranked it and moved the idle adjustment and the choke and gas and everything. After he tried for about a minute I told him it sounds like it needs fuel. He said no no thatll flood it! About 15 minutes of us just sitting in a dark neighborhood and us researching on line on our phones. He goes, "wow, I gotta turn the fuel knob to on. "

I couldn't decide whether to laugh or be disappointed hahaha.

Oh and when the bike started up, it was idling at 4500 rpms   I was like is that you doing that?! He gets his hand off the throttle and looks at me all confused "no!". Im like, "dude turn the screw back down then hahahaha! "

The sensor is plugged up, I don't have a washer on the sensor though, If you look at this diagram it shows a washer (part number 21) that goes on the coolant temp sensor. I'd think that washer is only for it to not leak, Which it doesn't leak right now I've already watched around thermostat and sensor, no leaks anywhere on bike. And the gauge cluster does read the temperature, It's actually seems way more accurate, It use to jump 10+ degrees at one time sometimes, It would go from 115, 126, 130, 119, 123, 129, 121, etc, Now it just goes like, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, so on. Until it got to high temps like 185, Than it jumps around all wild once again, Could go from 210 straight to 230 etc
