Pic from when I bought the cbr and how it is now. I think it looks a bit better, I want to change the rear footpegs back to the original aluminum color instead of the black. They didn't plastidip the rear pegs though they spray painted them. So i'm not sure of the easiest ways to fix that lol. Brake/clutch levers should get here today, (thursday) and not sure when reservoir will get here

Lol ignore my little brother lookin retarded in the back

Well that was a relief, Clutch/brake levers came in. Installed brake lever, Brake works perfect, Apparently I already bled the front brake, (I tried everyway there is but It always had ZERO pressure on the lever) Installed the new lever and it felt like a normal brake, The lever doesn't wobble every which way with tons of play. Feels good, fitment is good, has lots of pressure, brake works good. Now to install rear pedal/clutch lever, Once I get the clutch reservoir I can bleed the clutch hopefully.

Yeah, so I'm riding home from the shop I buy parts from (bought a new fuel filter and got a quote on a battery), and I go over a bump... About 1/8 mile down the road, all my lights/gauges go out. Look down through the battery box and my negative is glowing. Pulled over the next street, the whole negative terminal and the negative wires to my main harness and under glow are melted at the ends. :smackself:

Pulled the battery out, tossed it in my backpack. Luckily my s*** runs on AC current and I have a kickstart, so I made it home without having to push it in the rain, but that's another $55 gone, plus I need to get a new intake manifold because gas keeps leaking from my carb tilting over due to the mounting point being worn out..

That's crack prices. People are charging 1500-1600 now for modded GETs (stock motor). A GY6 swapped one, you could get for a little over 2k now. Stock Mets are going for under 1k now.

If only they were at those prices two years ago...

That engine needs to be liquid cooled considering the plastic-clad boat that it came out of

Brake pedal just came in, Now I just need my clutch reservoir! Little closer to be able to ride it. But I do need to order a couple oem parts for it. It's missing a right side engine mount bolt and the sensor that goes on the clutch master cylinder

Got my new battery (came with the right nuts/bolts, thank f***ing god) and replaced my melted wires. Also got a new intake manifold, which is too big (11 bucks wasted!)....

And my foam filter was apparently torn in half, so now I'm back to that s***ty metal pod filter on the OEM intake pipe, but I have it wrapped with the pre-filter from my torn one, so hopefully it does something this times around

And half of the LEDs in my headlight are now super fucking dim

Took off the rearset so I can change the brake pedal, Decided to clean the exhaust, swingarm, rear shock underneath, back of engine, etc while I have space to do so.

In the 2nd pic you can see where the frame has previously been fucked up. Found that about a week to a week and a half ago. It's pretty disappointing. Frame is cracked and welded.. That's the only thing keeping me from saying it's a 3500-4000$ bike. After I've fixed all the problems, New stator reduced the whining noise by a TON, and it fixed the rough idle and hard to start issues, Fires right up now and idles normal. It sounds like a normal cbr when it runs now to. After I get my reservoir, The only thing wrong with the bike is it's missing fairings and the frame been cracked/welded.. I feel like with the frame like that the bike dropped atleast $1000 in value.. I feel like It's only worth about what I got in it if not less because of that.

The other asshole
Anyone willing to put the work in (Like me) would pay at least 3500, Get another frame and swap everything over, Have to work around the fact that the VIN is on the frame but it's all too possible, Especially since pretty much the rest of the bike is good, Shit 06-07 1000rr's are still going for 6k around here.

If I had a way to come and get it I would but that's why I'm buying an RC to travel on, My car is shit and the family trucks are getting up there in mileage, They're fords anyway
