The polishing was more of a joke than anything. Nice progress so far!

I'm sure no one wants to see my imitation crotch rocket, but I installed my tidy tail after work. Even with the shorty mod the stock signals are huge haha
The only other thing I want to do to this is a bar end mirror to remove those huge antlers. Not really wanting to spend money on it. Instead, everything is going away for a big bike.

I lost to a John Deere the other day :( lol

I don't really care what people say about it. I make joked about to too. Like I've posted before it's just to get my full license on so I can afford a big bike next year.

Nothing wrong with a small bike.. If I hadn't previously owned a 600 I would have bought a 250 just to cruise on. I missed riding a bike and couldn't afford a 600/1000 at the time got real close to buying a 250. Just couldn't do it after owning a 600. It's always good to start on a small bike than move up. If you don't have riding experience like dirtbikes etc atleast than it's probably a good thing you got a small bike. I've rode dirtbikes when I was in kindergarten so I can usually get on any bike and just ride it... Lol. This cbr is going to be a hella long process of cleaning... I don't even want to begin on removing all the rubber from the back/shock. That could take years hahaha. This plastidip could be a long job too... I've only gotten rid of a bit but It's cool to see the difference after little cleaning. When it's all gone the bike should look pretty damn good imo

In to break up the CBRfest with my ricer ass scooter

Had to put a shitty filter on to brighten it up a bit since my yard is so dark.

Finally got the bitch running, played with the jetting a bit and charged the battery. BUT... It won't idle
unless I'm on the throttle (even then its pretty rough) and pops through the carb then dies when I let off. Think it may either be a fouled out plug, which I'll check tomorrow, or the spark plug cap went bad. If neither, then I'm stuck fucking with the jets even more.

PLASTDIP MELTS WITH DEGREASER. Stop using paint thinner haha its much much easier with a spray bottle of degreaser.

Ask me how I know. xD. My teg and my gsxr both are dipped. The guy who sprayed your bike didn't spray enough. It comes off like shit unless you spray 5 to 6 layers.

Everytime I've had problems on my dirtbike with it not idleing and such it's been the carb. I'd try spark plug like you said but you might have to take apart the carb and just soak every single part in carb cleaner all night or something... need that carb super clean lol

Incoming more pics lol, I got most the plastidip off the swingarm, extensions, rear wheel, leftside peg/guard, taking forever.... It's looking quite a bit better already though I love it haha. My index finger is numb though from scraping plastidip for hours. Laquer thinner seems to help but only on thin thin layers like overspray type plastdip, Some plastidip I can peel, Than there's layers that laquer thinner doesn't help and I can't peel it so I just have to scrape it with my fingernail lol...

Also not sure if you can see in pics. But it has a EK MVXZ chain that's orange or red color. Covered in black plastidip... LOL

This is what I have on hand, but any strong degreaser should work. None of that pansy all natural shit though

Well WD-40 worked great... I googled best way to get rubber off a bike from burnouts, WD-40 was the answer. So I sprayed down and started scraping off all the rubber only to find out the entire swingarm is plastidipped. WD-40 made the plastidip do away no problem though so WD-40 is still the answer for everything... Lol

Probably only works on thin dip, I've hit my wheels with it on accident before and nothing happened. :what:

Those weirdos on the plastidip forum say citrus degreaser is the best, so I'll grab a bottle of that when I'm at Lowe's tomorrow.
