Bought a new 1/2in gun today because the Cambell Hausfield I bought a while back was useless. I really never even broke one bolt loose with it. I guess it might take off valvecover studs but do you really need a 1/2in gun for that  Thinking about buying it, save your $30.

But today I got tired of breaking axle nuts, flywheel bolts, etc off by hand. That s*** gets old even for me, so I bought another cheap gun, not $30 cheap but $99 cheap :) It's a Klutch, got it at Northern, and it worked great! It says 650ft/lbs of breakaway torque, (I doubt it) but it was enough to get the axle nuts, flywheel bolts, etc off without much hassle.

We'll see about longevity but since we seem to have to rebuild the IRs at work all the time I'm not gonna cry if it needs replacing after a year with my occasional garage usage.

Feels good in the hand.

This clusterf*** of wires will be going away.

My makeshift hoist bracket cause I keep losing all the real ones  Hey it worked better then the real thing :what:

Taking a break while the PB Blaster does its job.

I don't know why people say Hondas are easy to work on, they're a pain in the ass imo.

And this is as far as I get tonight because I didn't have any bolts long enough to go through the engine stand and block. Lowes tomorrow.

Since its Hinamatsuri we're taking the day off but we did get bolts to put the motor on the stand.

And Ms. Matsuko says she's done.

Strip it down to the chassis, sand blast, and full repaint? A full restoration???

I wouldn't say restoration, more like a full reconditioning. I plan on removing a lot stuff I don't need but it should look pretty when I'm done.

I just learned a valuable lesson regarding the abs pressure ball and how not to remove it.

I'll now be cleaning brake fluid off the walls of my garage. :/

That's not gone well.

P.S. I responded to your question about the Federal 595RS-R in my build thread. :thumbs up

So don't remove this bolt that connects the brake line to the pump assembly or your gonna have a bad day. I bleed all the lines from this off before removing it but apparently theres a ton of pressure built up in this, even after sitting for ever.

Took off the front crossmember, swaybar, started working on looping the power steering rack, shift linkage off, a bunch of wiring out of the way until I get inside to take out the harness, blah blah just taking it all apart.

Finished getting the rest of the abs junk out and got the prop valve mocked up.

Empty space!

Non-abs da valve

Paint markers are great for this kinda stuff.

Green, red, blue, yellow, black, white

Green to green, red to red, blue to blue, etc etc...

You can use these two lines that went from your pump to the abs unit for connections to the rear, just be careful bending. Strong hands are recommended!

Quick mock up, the one fitting not connected is a 12 that you'll need to swap to a 10 and reflare, cover that more later.

Look at the load of shit we get to get rid off! The abs system in DAs sucks anyway.

Yeaaa, got my new SteamFast SF-275 from Amazon today!

I'm hoping this will save some time for me cleaning 21 years of grime off.
