Trinh put it way better than I could have. Depending on the style of tire machine, there is a good chance they would have never seen the cracks, before or after they put the new tires on. They have better things to do then inspect your rims for you. They are a tire shop, get em in, get em out. Also, that wear isn't from being lowered. If you think it is, read up some...that was caused by severly off toe in. Camber can cause uneven wear, but nothing like that.

All you have to gain from pursuing this is to muck up their reputation. What if you're in the wrong? Then that would make you an ass...

Gah! Would you listen to yourself? You have NO way of knowing they knew! Did you, the owner, inspect them after you took your destroyed tires off?! They are a tire shop. Not a wheel inspection shop!

Your story doesn't make sense to me, but okay. It's not my problem to deal with. A fair mediator would be the Bureau of Automotive Repair. File a complaint with them. They'll send a field representative out to you and then to the shop to hear both sides of the stories. From there, they'll decide who was at fault and what is owed to you by the shop if anything. That's more fair than leaving a bad review because you think it's their fault. If you don't like their verdict, you can file a lawsuit in small claims court after that. If the evidence is in your favor, you'll get your rims.

A lot of work to go through to get some new Rotas though.

Uhh.. what? I didn't say I got the wear from being lowered. I think I said something about being lowered, but I forget, I'm on my phone right now.. I know that's from toe wear. I still need to look at the rim you pointed out, but so far everyone except online has told me I need to be aggressive about this, even the wheels work dude. I'm just taking opinions right now

Weren't you going to get new rims anyway? By the looks of the pictures and how you laid them down face on the pavement, it doesn't seem like you even cared for those rims much.

You said you were just watching tread wear because you've never owned a lowered vehicle before. :what:
This was in regards to watching just the initial tread, not the inside wall. I never saw a need to actually get down and look at the inside corners. I always racked my rx8 because I thought it was fun and actually cleaned up the plastic parts on it. I find this new car more difficult to rack because of where its at and reduced manueverability. But that's just me
