From what it looks like you'd plug that up somewhere closer to the pc and than you're getting your connection off of that instead of the router basically for a closer connection?

yup pretty much.. but honestly i dont what what this dual band its talking about is.

It's in the wireless networking, dual band is the capability to transmit on the 5 GHz band of 802.11a and also the 2.4 GHz band used by 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n. Unlike ordinary Wi-Fi equipment that only supports one signal band

That makes perfect sense. I recall seeing it list both speeds on the link.

To put it simply on my router I can set wireless to 2.4ghz which is slower speeds but more range & 5ghz for more speed but less range.

haha yea that's the plan, also gunna not stop all the way at stop signs since I'm going the back way so no stop lights. I'm pretty good now tho
