And the inside is pretty much done. Waiting for my battery relocation kit to come in and then I'll finish it off:
Since I'm putting a VTEC motor in, I went ahead and made my own harness for that and included it with the rest of the ECU wires. It will uplug just like the rest of the motor harness for easy install/removal. Also, it's a HUGE coincidence, but Honda happened to use the same plugs for A/C clutch and P/S pressure sensor that the VTEC solenoid and VTEC press. switch use. Since I removed those, I'm going to use them for VTEC now. Score!
Since operation wire-tuck is nearing completion, I went ahead and started re-assembling the bay:
She's actually starting to look like a car again! yay!
I'm going to have the motor and trans sitting in there sometime this week.
My overall goal for this overhaul was to make ALL work under the hood as easy and painless as possible. Motor installs should only take 30min to an hour with just basic handtools. Any work needed can be done easily and without having too move a bunch of crap out of the way.
Also, before anyone asks, I am NOT relocating the brake/clutch/fuel lines this time. I will do that next time I have to pull the motor out for any reason.
