lol...maaco probably would have turned out cleaner. it looks like i picked some guys up off the street and gave them a couple rattle cans and some duct tape.

^ i did tell them they needed to fix it and that i wasn't trying to give them a hard time or nit-pick. my car was has been in and out of their shop more than once.
the very first time it came out, it was a LOT worse than you guys see in the pictures. there was hella overspray inside the windows on the doors, they painted the black parts of my bumper white, keyhole white, cables painted, all the jambs had some kind of missing paint, paint chipped on side skirts, gas door jamb was unpainted...not to mention they must have fucked up at least two of my window seals because one...and a HALF of them were painted flat black. that part was the icing on the cake. they won't replace the seals either.
when my mirrors were folded, you could see that they didn't even bother painting in there. i made them do it, but that was after arguing with them about it. the one old guy said, "no one paints in there. if you want me to paint it, i'm just going to take a rattle can to it and there will be drips and it will get stuck. just don't fold it." me, "obviously SOMEONE paints in there because there's paint. all the work is half-assed and you guys need to do something about it." of course they didn't do the whole thing over, though. the one guy tried to tell me to sit there with my finger nails and scratch off the extra paint on the seals and shit. i told him that isn't my job and that they're the ones who are supposed to take care of those kinds of details. that's when i told them that if they didn't fix everything on my list, i was going to file a complaint against them. i wasn't bluffing about that. i think i was really cool about it when i came in, too. their customer service FTL!
anyway, the car was dropped off again 30 days after i had originally gotten it out for it to get detailed and cleaned up. that's what you see in the pictures now. they said that they fixed what they were going to fix. such b/s. they've caused me more headaches and wasted my time and money more than anything. they obviously didn't try very hard to work with me.

I'd sue them or get reimbursed and then have someone else do the work. After someone tells me something like that I wouldn't trust them anywhere near my car.

just read ALL of this... lol really sucks... but lesson learned hopefully. My car is getting painted soon and so far I have stripped the interior, I plan to give them bare shell so like that they have no issues or complications, no windows, no motor, no bumpers, no lights, well u get the point. I told them how I want my car in details but some ppl are just fkn retarded and ignorant, but hopee ur issues get resolved girl.

Yup, there's no way I'd let them do anything with my car anymore. I'm asking for my money back or for the cost of getting everything re-done at another shop (that I choose). The longer it takes, the less motivated I get about taking them to court. It'd honestly be the smart thing to do, though. Just so time-consuming.

Worse comes to worst, you end up like me. LOL Knowing what I know now, I would have gone through one of my good buddy's friends. That way, at least I know he'd make them do a good job. I thought I'd be safest going this route (because a lot of shops offer warranties on paint and quality), but I was wrong. I do have a warranty for the paint, but it does me no good now. There's no way I'd let them work on my car again, for anything.
Whoever you choose, just choose wisely and pray for the best? I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Prior to getting my car in there, I did a lot of research on the proper prep and paint methods, asked the right questions, and really felt I chose the right shop. In the end, they didn't hold their word and all my efforts seem to have gone to waste. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but it seems that way some days.
The plan was to have my car towed there and driven back, so I had put everything back on again thinking it'd be easier for them to figure out where everything goes if they removed it themselves. I had paid them to do it right and take everything off to paint, but they neglected to do so. I even doubled- and tripled-checked with them beforehand to make sure everything was going to come off before they painted because I didn't want them to just mask everything. They assured me that it would be taken care of and done right.
What I should have done was tell them to give me a call after prep and before it went into paint so I could have actually gone into the shop and see if I was satisfied enough for them to shoot paint. I dropped by a few times unexpectedly, but not much was being done on the days that I did. One time, I saw it after paint and honestly felt sick to my stomach. There was paint everywhere. The guy had warned me that it hadn't been detailed yet. If you had seen it then and when they said it was "ready" to be picked up, I guarantee you that you wouldn't have noticed a difference.
Blah, blah, blah...it sucks, but what has been done is done. Hopefully, it'll be all sorted out soon. I feel like a retard driving around with my teg half-assed. Haha...it's begging for parts to go on.
^Stock height FTL! I think I'm missing some fogs and amber bumper lights. Headlights need to be polished, too. :laugh:
