just make sure you go to someone you really trust. if i had known before, i would have only taken my car to someone that i actually knew. get EVERYTHING in writing on the work order, EVERY time there's ANY change. don't give any verbal authorizations at all, would be my advice. go in to the shop to sign it.

^ lol that's one way to look at it. i'm embarrassed to drive it around sometimes, though. i have drips in the paint in a couple spots and overspray galore, too. suuuuuuuucks!

i'm not sure how much i'm looking to get if i sell it. i'm still debating on whether i should throw on parts or not. i'm still waiting on BAR to figure out whether i want to sell it or keep it.

still no updates. the bureau lags. i haven't had time to go through our shop's agent, either. i've sent the rep. that was assigned to my case all the invoices and records, but i have yet to hear from him. he seems forgetful. he called me that one time to apologize for taking long and telling me what i should expect, interviewed me, etc. maybe a week later, he called saying the EXACT same thing and that we needed to do an interview. lol so yeah. i don't know what's up with that. i'm giving him until the end of this week, then i'm going to try and have my case assigned to the field agent associated with our shop. he's supposedly really thorough and on-time.

I am so so so sorry that this is happening to you. This is complete bullshit. I would be so close to really hurting someone. but I agree with what has been said. Look at it this way, Yes they fucked up your baby and man I would be pissed but there are people out there that don't have cars or jobs. people that have fucked up lives. This is a learning experience, take from it what you will but now you know not to trust people like these shody shops. I have been through my fair share of life problems. My si was stolen and even though I got the money. I lost my baby so I learned a lesson I think. Yes the car was gone and I could never find an EM1 that was as clean but I found the integra, lost my job, found a better job, met someone very important to me and I am happier than I ever have been now. I don't know if this was all directly related but I got over it and found something better. Go after that M3.

It could be a lot worse. You will make it through this. You sound like a strong woman. At least you aren't dead and you have wisdom now about this. You can help other people by telling them not to go to a certain place. You got this.

i just don't like feeling like i've been had. a part of me knows that it's not that big of a deal, but the other part of me is still pretty livid. it's not so much that they did a shitty job. it's all the lying that fuels the fire. also the fact that i've worked hard to get everything where it is.

i've held off on my m3 search until i figure out what to do with the teg. to be honest, i'm not sure if i still want to sue them if BAR can't get them to comply. i've wasted a lot of time waiting already. it's a bit discouraging, to tell you the truth. i want my car to either be done or sold.


p.s. whoever asked for the pics...i haven't forgotten. between being busy and lazy, i hardly have any time to take pics of teggers. lol :lol:

mine? it's on my phone. lol iphone cam takes decent pics whenever it feels like it, though. most of the time it's garbage and you can't see the details well.

yes, i had to pay the "remainder" of my "outstanding balance" according to them. they refused to give me my keys back until i did. i had already paid the balance in full the first time i took my car out of the shop, so them trying to get more money out of me for unauthorized work really pissed me off. they also said that if it stayed overnight and wasn't paid and picked up by morning, they were going to start charging me $58 (or something ridiculous like that) a day for storage. he also tried to scare me with the whole mechanic's lien deal. i told him i'd like to see him try, because once i open up a complaint with BAR, they can't do much with my car.

anyway, in the end, i knew that i wasn't going to leave my car at their shop so they could mess with it. can you imagine they shit they'd do to it if i did? lol i mean we reaaally got into it.
