My dad owns a 2009 335i coupe and it is not the most reliable car out there. He has owned it for a bit over a year and has had an engine misfire issue, the transmission is jerky, the tires don't last long and are mega expensive to replace, and it is NOT a comfortable car. I don't expect the four door 328i to be much different.

If she's looking for a reliable and sporty sedan I'd steer her towards a Lexus IS 350 or an Infinity G35/37. Heck maybe even get her to test drive an Impreza or Lancer.

She wouldn't like a lancer or impreza.
The is350 she would love and the g37 are awesome an more affordable. She wants to stay with an SUV for the most part.
