So I cleaned my IACV but my car still jumps around at 1000 to 1500 at idle. anyone know where I can get an IACV for under $300 or if there's any other potential causes.. Also I have an annoying battery light but my charging system seems to be functioning properly. any ideas?? thought about replacing the cables.

A cheap easy fix first to try is your PCV valve. if its not working right it can make your car jump rpm like that. And for the battery problem check your ground.

pcv valves can make all the difference, and seafoam is like the icing on the cake. also DON'T replace your iacv just unbolt the 2 main bolts ( leave the hoses attached) spray throttle body cleaner inside the iacv through the mesh opening and also gently clean the screen with a q tip or soft rag. then hook it all back up. the excess throttle body cleaner will just get burned up and you idle should be more steady, then adjust your base idle to approx 750 after all that. it's the small flat head screw driver insert on the face of the throttle body, (i think left lowers and right raises) hope that helps.

I want to put a skunk2 pro series intake manifold and 68mm pro series throttlebody on my b18a1 and was unsure about my injectors. I think the stock injectors are 240cc/min I was thinking of upgrading them as well. Any ideas about what flow rate would be optimal with that setup? I was looking at some venom 440cc injectors.

Your stock injectors are good up to 400HP. No since in wasting money on some injectors cause you will loose gas mileage alot with that size injector. your fuel rail holds the same so at most id do the intake manifold and throttlebody and a fuel pressure regulator with a fuel gauge.

I was looking at a composite fuel rail too, mainly cause it's pretty!

I got the parts hook up. But you might need to clean the fitv if you have an obd1 car. Also maybe a vacuum leak somewhere.

I read somewhere that air starvation could cause it too. I have a synthetic dry flow air filter on it, your not supposed to oil those and I did!

did ya check your pcv valve ?
Haha! You'll love this one.
Well I've been working on Chevys for the last 15 years so I'm used to those PCV valves which press into the valve cover. So I go to pull my PCV valve on my DA9 and it breaks on me, and I start trying to pull the rest of it out in pieces till it's flush with the intake manifold, then I'm like "I gotta pull my intake to get the rest of it out of there and make sure there's no plastic inside my manifold. Come to find out that it's fitted into a hose that runs through the manifold! Pissed me off. But I discovered a bunch of hoses that turned to plastic from heat exposure, and also found an oil leak at my oil pressure switch. That's about when I decided to upgrade my intake system cause I figured, might as well since I pulled all that crap off anyway..

Should of gave a heads up on this. I did the same thing on mine lol. but i ended up just cutting about 2 inches on a new hose and put the new pcv valve on the top of the intake. and it works fine lol. ill grab a pic.
you cant really see it but its right beside the fuel pressure regulator.

chalk it up to a learning experience.. and that dont look too bad, I think I'll do the same with my PCV valve when I get it back together. But for now my truck is closer to being legal than my car is to running, and I need a vehicle, so im gonna focus on that. Always accepting ideas on the DA though!
