Ok Im in need of some help

Ok Ive searched high and low for this answer and can't come across a solid one to start tearing into the car. I have a 91 LS with a very annoying tick coming from the head, I had my valves adjusted and the tick went away for a couple days. Then i brought it up over 4k on the highway and the tick came back, Im thinking bad/streched valve spring or worn retainers but the car only has 154k on it what do you guys think it maybe? :smackself:

what weight oil are you using
if ur using to thin it could cause it to hear the ticking

im running 5w30. I live in Vegas should i be running heavier oil??

I'll try the switch over to 10w30 and run full synthetic and see if that helps and/or solves the problem

It will mask it maybe, but it won't fix it. Keep in mind, your injectors tick too, could be that

Og like most of us here use 10-30 let me know if am wrong ... but our engines have alot ticking that's y alot of us use 10-30 nd not 5-30 u know??
