hmm is this aa nooob questions thread? Okie i have 2 questions

1. When coming to a red stop light or stop sign i usually put the car in neutral and just use break. My theory is that in the long run i would rather replace brake pads and stuff rather then get a clutch kit. Is that bad?

2. For some reason (not integra related) my Dad Stick Ford focus, if left in neutral or idle, the RPM just sits under 1,000 rpm and likes to sit at 0.9 or 0.7 RPMS, it kinda goes up and down......anyone know what causes this? its not normal ...

3. CAn anyone explain Heel Toe Clutch technique? is it good for everyday driving?

thanks for the help

I usually down shift to third and use the brakes. When the RPMs drop to around 2,000-1,500 I push in the clutch.

1. Your reasoning is the same as mine...brakes are easier to replace. I do pretty much the same thing as ominous, downshift 1 or maybe 2 gears, to utilize engine braking a little, then I just put it in neutral and come to a complete stop. I don't think about it much though, so its probly fairly random.

2. Sounds like something electrical, possibly the iacv or whatever a focus has.

3. Not for daily driving, and I am not the one to chip in on it as i suck at it.

About to go watch some TV. Nothing like showing up to a family cookout (brother in law's family) in Sunglasses, and with a bottle of tylenol. They're all super super religious too..
