Prozon's '93 GS Build

They charge $400 flat rate and keep the money regardless if your car breaks or not for a reason. You are reserving time that could go towards another potential customer. Its just the way things work. I would go to speed factory if I lived in Washington, they are the shit and build nothing but fast cars.

They can not tune it accurately if the clutch slips, so they cancel the tune, and charge you the $400 for the tune. $400 is the base rate.

And Josh, that's why i'm going with them. The funny thing is though, the actual shop is tiny. My bedroom is bigger then their front office haha. I expected it to be bigger!

Why would they charge you if the clutch slips? I don't follow.
Because you have taken time away from other potential customers....its not real hard to figure out lol. It's not their fault that you bring in a car that isn't properly setup to tune. Most shops have a "pre-tune checklist" so they don't run into cars showing up not really ready to be tuned, thus wasting their time. Time is money!

So I was hanging out with a buddy today, just dinking around. We went to the book store by the mall because it was going out of business. My friend wanted to find the "Car" section and after 15 minutes of looking we finally found it. He immediately spotted a "How to rebuild your B18" book. I started flipping through and I noticed something..

My vacuum lines were mixed up! Two vacuum lines on my TB were backwards! I was super excited to get home and swap them. I got home and swapped them- it started doing an idle surging thing, but I decided to take it down the road regardless, and you know what? I can throttle down all the way- i'm not running super rich- it has all it's power! I popped a vacuum line and capped it off at the gas station, and now the car idles perfect.

Woo!

I'm so damn happy. Runs like a CHAMP and the plugs are clean as a whistle. As opposed to the black in five seconds from before.

Made a acceleration video.

(Closed course, kids do not try this at home.)

I have to admit some freakishly bad driving on my part. I was really distracted by the BLINDING light on the friends phone. Not only did I bounce the limiter, but I nearly missed a complete shift. Better one tomorrow in the light with a mounted camera.

I'll try my best. Soon enough it will be on the dyno. I'm going to be taking care of some little things tomorrow. I need to tighten a belt down, rotate the tires, blah blah blah.

I know its hard to not drive something thats just sitting there waiting to be. Its like a porn star laying in your bed but your not allowed to smash her. wait til its tuned before driving it again, you'll thank your self later when its running for more then a year.

Bwahahaha, yeah for now its not slipping. Wait til they start pulling timing and leaning that bad boy out to make power, that will let you know if or not the clutch is going to slip.

Mitch- as long as it keeps grabbing, i'll hold onto it. What were the price quotes on those brakes though?
Alex, Mitch would be correct. F1 Racing Stage 3 clutch from GripForce.com.

As for updates:
I replaced the bulb in my oil pressure gauge, if you guys weren't aware the bulb went out the other day.

I also wired up a switch to run my fans. It's kind of noise, it's down below on a panel out of the way. "Inconspicuous" would be a good term for it. I tried my hardest to get it wired up without using a switch, but I can't get the factory wiring to work out for me. I even ended up stripping the harness back to see if anywhere was bad.

In a little while my buddy is bringing me a bulb for my boost gauge, so that will also have a light.
