Subwoofer Recommendation?

i have 2-18" Subs DC XL's on a Crescendo BC5600 it does 5700watts rms

JL is good the prices are sour, $350 isnt bad go for it

My amp is 1500watt with 600rms and I haven't ripped mine yet. :thumbs up

Although I can't say the same for some 7" speakers I had in a box. I hooked the amp up to them..

They sounded great for the 10 seconds they played.. then they violently exploded. :\

i looked up that amp and its only doing 600rms at 4ohms WTF, bearely enough for one of the TypeR's!
you can run them at 1ohm and make them come to life, ON A DIFFERENT AMP that is(assuming u have the 4ohm TypeR's)

I had a 15" kicker cvx(same as L7 just round) running 1000rms on 2OHMS thing was a face melter..it would blow girls hair around when the back seats where down. a little unecessary but sound great. L7s hit cleaner CVXs produce more bass

ive always ran with MTX since my very first stereo i sold the kickers that were in my integra when i got it kickers are decent but there built for performance means they hit had but dont last long thats why there cheaper. its all personal preference MTX has never let me down and thats why ive stuck with them so long

JL's my fav personally, if they have demo models hooked up for you to hear that'd be the best. Because in reality it's to each his own on audio.

i was a fan of them too, only thing is when trying to go stupid loud they cant keep up lol
for normal small systems i always like the mtx amps, bought two of them and actually still have one in the closet that messed up but was never able to get fix but cant let go of it

its funny because the local shop has a integra in their show room to demo their subs/enlcosures but they basically cheat because anything u put in an integra is gonna sound amazing

only complain on them is price other wise ive never hear anything bad about them. they are def worth the price, the JLw7's are the ones i wouldnt mind having myself. 4 of them in the teg would be audio sex

4 subs in a teg is so unnecessary unless your entering an audio competition. spent over 3k-4k in stereo stuff just to realize it was a waste of money in my neon. sold it all and got a srt swap. btw side note MTX used to be a garbage brand like flea market back in the 80s-90s it wasnt till late 90s early 2000s they started making decent parts. and if your gonna spend the money on a w7 get a solo X. and its all about function dont buy a 500 sub and a 200 dollar amp or vice versa.

so far im sure im over the $4k mark on mine, thats not including the $3k i spent on buying my teg

my question is why 18's in a teg. do you do audio comps or is it for personal use? btw get your hearing checked i lost 15% of my hearing in my right ear because of stupid systems lol thats why i moved on. not worth it.
