coilovers sound right although my friend said they make your suspension to bouncy, true? ... the turbo situation is an option but i dont want a cheap turbo thats gonna give me problems cause i dont know much about engine work

Yes and no.
Not if you get a quality setup and the RIGHT setup.

If you just want a nice quality setup to drop and perform, I would get the
Function and Form Type 1's
or
Ground Control Coilover Sleeves and Koni Yellows
"Why you ask?" if a strut goes out, you can simply replace it easily and is a damn good setup for DD.
+ Damper Adjustment

You could build the head with Brian Crower Valves, Valve Springs, Retainers and Cams.
and a Tune.

Intake, Header, & Exhaust.
You will have some nice torque, and possibly be running high 14's.
All that will likely cost around 2.5k or a tad more.

That's why boost is your best option. :???:

And that's without a suspension or anything else.

Might as well just swap that motor for an H series.
Best bang for the buck if you plan on staying stock.

Complete swap except for mounts, labor, some other parts & OBD1 conversion...

OR

Get a B18C swap & find a B16 Hydro trans, ECU, Wiring & Labor (Because it's much easier to swap)
