DIY reupholstered headliner

When I had my headliner done in Bride that was my biggest concern. I wanted it all to be uniform.. it was a pain... I had to have it stitched in the middle to make the words "BRIDE" line up.. turned out great though.

and if you want me to remove the pics from your thread, please let me know..

i was thinking about doing my headliner and a pillars red tweed like my door panels so the inside is black and red. i cant do the rear quarter window because of all the curves but i could always paint match it to the panels. only thing thats stopping me is the chance it may sag over time. im not saying like a few months or whatever, but i plan on keeping the car for a long time and i dont want to go thru the trouble of fixing it.

but i did help my buddy with his. i was hoping to see if it would sag but he traded the car already

I'm worried about that too to be honest. I'll just see in time.

Had to fucking redo mine today. It's been raining like a mother bitc h for the past few nights and water has been seeping through the rear windshield sprayer. So all the water made it sag in the back. I peeled it back and used a blow dryer to dry out the soaked headliner. Resprayed the shit out if it with glue and pressed it back down. I siliconed the sprayer from top and bottom. Going to let the headliner sit in the basement for a few days to be sure the glue sets in good. PISSED!

yea theres a thread on here about custom interiors. almost everyone has the top half of their integras interior changed. i personally like the tanish color on top of the black interior.

That's pretty sick, and I'm diggin the armrest. Its tricky doing stripes and plaid patterns on a big area like that, every little imperfection shows, and its impossible to keep all the lines straight. Clean tho.

I did mine in the soon to be born baby's room lol. Threw old covers over everything, a big sheet of plastic on the floor and a box fan in one window to suck out the smell. It was too damn hot outside when I planed on doing it.

I might rip it all off and start over. The crooked lines kind of piss me off

In regard to the sagging.. you need to scuff the stock headliner with a red/green pad to get better adhesion...Spray both the headliner and fabric, let it tack up, then lay it down.. Did this both for the headliner & door panels.

Better pic of my door panels

Idk man. This is the third one I've ever done. The other two lasted years without sagging amd did them the exact same way. I think that all the rain water that leaked through played a factor.

The panels look good!
