Allright so when i bought my tegg, it had a type r motor in it b18c5 but the previous owner drove the car and messed upp the crank. The whole motor had to be taken apart to fix it, i didnt have time to wait for it to get fixed bc it was my only ride. Anyways, my mechanic wanted the type r motor bc he had the type r trans, so we swaped motors. His b16a2 for my b18c5. I know i got ripped off but thats all i could do at the moment. Now i want to swap back into a b18 bc im getting 15mpg and i want my teg to have a the same motor it came with, b18c1. (98 gsr) on my local forum, i posted if someone wanted to trade. So far if gotten a running ls motor with vtec head(not installed)(just motor for motor, no trany involved)and a b18c with a blown gasket (he wants my b16 motor and trans for his b18 and ls tranny) Should itrade for ether of them? I was told to buy and od1 to obd2 conversion and a p28 ecu to fix my gas problems and make it more responsive.
