J13 sooo mad
They will still take 9k rpms stock, trust me, been there done that have the vids to prove it hahahaha. There really wont be a need for the OP to rev past 8500 most likely anyways
The main thing to focus on is not whether or not the car can take revs up to 9k, but whether or not the head can provide power up to 9k instead of it falling off. That should be the reason why you rev to 9k

Just got my hands on a gsr block. Now im doing a type r hybird with gsr block at 81.5mm and Now thinking should i buy a gsr skunk 2 head with vavles valve springs and retainers with a port job done or Build my b16 head with bc spings and retainers and port it my self? The head is getting brian cower stage 2 turbo cams. The comp ratio is going to be 10.5 should have nice low end with this setup. Thanks for all the help. I have been going to crazy and should have been easy but i wasn't sure what i would be happy with till now.

Has any one heard of runningstrongllc vavles there like stock but a little stronger and was wondering if any one has heard of them.

Update going with type r valve springs and b16 retainers and gsr cams. Another thing i need to know is can i reuse my main studs or should i get new ones from honda?

Um Guys i said main studs not head studs. Lower mains in the block? Should i get new honda oem studs or reuse the old main studs or get eagle main studs but i think than i have to line hone. I know with arp you have to line hone.

i personally am not a fan of golden eagle at all, but oem for main studs should be fine... beleave with aftermarket you have to get it line honed but its not bad if you have the block out already.. ARP mains are like around 100 bucks so im sure Honda ones are about the same.. you can hagle with dealerships parts counters just remember that if you buy new ones

No upgrade needed for stock GSR cams. Btw there is no way in hell you rev your stock b16 to 10k.

Im looking at cp SC7016 pistons with are for the b18c and they list as 9:8to1 comp and 81.50mm bore when i got to cspeed they list it at 10:9to1 with my set witch is b18c with b16 head and probly these pistons. Is cspeed right or are they wrong? Im looking for around 9;8 to 10;5 to 1?

Not allways, the headbolts do strech.
Well they are not supposed to stretch, but yes if you check them and they have stretched you should not reuse them. However unless you were running some type of boost on them they should not have stretched.
