Short Shifter install Q's

Here i go trying for no reason again Hint (flame) but anyway does installing a short shifter just consist of taking the exhaust out of the way to get the old shifter out and putting the new one in

Some guy at school said i had to do something to the transmission also is that true or is it as simple as installing it and it be good?

It's easy as pie and took me 15min on the ground without a lift. But yes your correct you just move the exhaust and remove the 4bolts to the shifter plus the boot cover and your done NO TRANNY WORK FOR ME

It's a pretty simple install. You should be fine if you follow the G2IC write up.

i didnt even drop down my exhaust i just unbolted the linkage from the tranny and removed the whole thing in one peice. super easy my grandmother could do it!

My short shifter and shifter bushings should come in tomorrow. I'll hopefully install them sometime next week and I'll try your method to see if it's possible to install without unbolting the exhaust.

Its not very hard to do. Follow the write up its word for word. I skiped steps but then again it was simple for me since I have all the proper tools and theres more than 20 lifts to choose from.

Just use some wood screws to hold your short shifter in place.

its a pretty simple install...although your roll cage might have to be removed as well..lol...sorry couldnt resist

Just follow the instructions given faggot, super easy. I legitimately believe your retarded Ass even has the mental capacity to do it. Search the threads, there's another write up on here, although its self explanatory. Use your eyes, it doesn't even seem hard to my coworker, she's the dumbest female I know.

Installation was easy, although I did have access to a lift.

Has anyone ran a short shifter without the heat shield? I get an annoying noise from time to time and I'm pretty sure its the heat shield rattling against the shifter or a part of the linkage.
