yeah buddy!

Those 9"s are going to look great. Plus you'll have so much damn grip from the rubber you can fit on them

yup, thats the whole idea behind having these in the front. finding a pair for the rears are gonna be difficult. shooting for 17x8 or at least 17x7.5

thanks :thumbs up

it helps reader kill time and i know they appreciate pics :) and i actually might be getting 2 more sets of wheels... maybe... kinda dont wanna but its a great deal. :what: i'm a sucker for deals.

so anyhow, back to work! i removed the skunk2 intake manifold and also removed the OE intake studs since they are short once you put on the hondata gasket. iono how people are able to use it with the skunk2 im when the nuts barely thread onto the studs. any how the OE studs are about 38mm and the hondata gasket is about 4-5mm. so getting one that is 45-50mm should be good length. the ptich should be M8 or 8mm x 1.25

so much space... so empty :p

a big fuck you to the short OE studs

next will be a trip to ace hardware then if that fails then autozone / pepboys / kragen.

Lookin goooood!
ty sir :thumbs up

anways, i got back from ace hardware... failed, went to pepboys... failed, went to kragen... failed, got damn stores didn't carry the studs i needed. so i might go ahead and order them from Mcmaster.com or head to the dealership... but they are closed by now. shits WEAKKKK!!!

but yea, time to whore out the work wheels :p

bye bye skunk2 stage 2 tuner cams... and back in the OE cams go. took some close up shots for those that are curious of how to tell if cams are what they are. im still waiting for the extended intake manifold studs i bought awhile back so i can install the jrsc.

so... the audio part of the build also :p

i sold it... then i wanted it back... gotta have that bass, lol. the 4ch is so0o0o lonely. i had to buy another JL 500/1, already have a JL sub to go with it. im thinking about building a 1"-2" thick rear panel t include a fan to ventilate the heat from the amps... :what: definitely going to buy the JL bass control knob tho.

WHAM!... a monoblock to keep it company.

also picked these JL C5 for my 6.5 component setup, btw where do you guys mount your crossovers? before i had it on the door panel and it was a hassle when i open the panels.

only prob... is the depth i too much, its hitting a metal brace on the inside, so i gotta buy some speaker spacers for a better clearance, i just hope i they'll clear the door panels. other wise its gonna suck.

and since the door panels are out... i decided to do add a little rice to it. purchased some JDM DB8 ITR window switches. passenger side is fair simple, and so was the drivers. only complication really is the USDM driver side switch and the JDM driver side switch. the covers and relays are totally opposite but they do snap into the USDM driver door. it just wont be totally screwed in.

before:

after:lighting is horrible i know, but its the ricer carbon faux

Good choice in audio components :thumbs up
gotta love JL Audio... this is a first for me with JL components, havent tested them out yet so im a little scared if i like them. Previous setup was infinity which was crisp and clear, no bass tho. plus after awhile the rubber sperated from the cone.

picked up my new daily wheels... so bye bye SSR GPOs (i'll give you so cal guys a nice discount for them PM me)

thinking about getting them polished, not sure if the usual aircraft remover will take off the paint on the volks :what: looks like they are originally matte black, but iono why the lip is polished? maybe by previous owner? so since te37s are matte black and used as my beat/track wheels, with the se37s polished, they should look nice as my daily wheels. what you guys think?

^ something about those wheel in Dark Bronze that i love
definitely would be badass, but i still have the ce28s in bronze. so i pretty much decided i wanna get them polished... but i just gotta find some tips if theres anything to worry about on volks.

an update from the build. so the intake manifold studs came in the other day.... i applied lock tite and started installing them. whats nice is that these studs can be installed with an allen wrench. i didn't really care on the bling factor as long as they dont break or snap on me with the weight of the jrsc. that sucker is about 40-50 pound'ish total.

here's a side by side comparison of the OE 37mm stud vs the McMaster 50mm

only problem i'm running into is the manual says to lay the blower on the black of the motor while you mount the intake manifold above it first, but there's no room, i think i gotta move the OE intake bracket on the rear of the block and buy some longer heater hoses cause there's a section that is built into the bracket. no need cut it off the manifold.

also anyone know what this outlet connects too? seems to be air.

^^^ so i found it that fitting is attached tothe PCV valve.

removed the OE bracket for the intake manifold. like i said, there was a metal hose attached to it, and it appears it was filled with radiator fluid.... :smackself: so there was a small spill.. wasn't too much of a pain in the ass. went to the local auto store and purchased a 5/8"x 18 heater hose. and replaced it. and there is so much more room for the blower to move around. the manifold is mounted, but securing all the bolts is a SUPER pain in the ass especially the 2 bottom middles ones. so we called it a night :p

OE intake manifold bracket

with it removed

forgot to snap a pic of the manifold mounted but the next challenge is getting the blower mated with the manifold. along with the gasket in between. im thinking of spraying some 3m adhesive to stick the gasket on either the manifold for blower.
