I just got off the phone with him and now I'm on the hunt for the OEM pieces. Let me know if you have them! And as far as I know, the only difference between the ITR front is the lip, yeah?
I found the whole front end in Vallejo a while back for $250, but I can't find it anymore

so now he is going with the usdm front end?
He is entertaining the idea. I noticed the word 'unicorn' was really striking his interest and I may have saved this from being bastardized. I need those pieces though, lol

Can't wait to see the progress on this one. It's shocking how much $ these ITR's go for. I got a minty '99 GSR for less than a salvaged, frame bent, no front end '97 ITR. Still though, totally worth it if he has the dough to spare. That's one heck of a car.

And I agree. Keep it OEM. Otherwise the value is gonna tank even more than it already has with a salvage title.

ONLY couches pull out!!!!
I completely agree. I cant believe that the cost of this was $6500 in the condition it is in.
same think i thought.

makes me wanna buy an itr, total it and collect insurance and then resell it or part it out.

I'm going to call him and tell him about these two comments. He does want to preserve value as much as possible, so this may give him a second thought on the JDM front, although I do dig on them

Not sure I follow, dude. I can tell you the frame is bent behind the left front strut bar, and they need to tweak it a little and re-weld the seam. As for aftermarket frames, I'm not too clear. You may be thinking of taking part of another Integra frame and welding it on to the damaged frame?

When I was at his shop getting my car checked, I was just walking around asking, "Lemme get on this for a minute", "Lemme borrow your seats", "Sell me your header and exhaust". I wanted everything but hte frame damage, lol

i was bein a smart ass.. and unless the ITR's are very different they are unibody cars.. thats what i said what i said

Its still technically a frame.
Monocoque (pronounced /ˈmɒnɵkɒk/ or /ˈmɒnɵkoʊk/) is a construction technique that supports structural load by using an object's exterior, as opposed to using an internal frame or truss that is then covered with a non-load-bearing skin or coachwork. The word monocoque comes from the Greek for single (mono) and French for shell (coque). The technique may also be called structural skin, stressed skin, unit body, unibody, unitary construction, or Body Frame Integral (BFI).

Main Entry: unibody
Part of Speech: n, adj
Definition: of a vehicle, a one-piece frame and body structure

its a unibody. not a frame. a frame is a structure that suports another structure. a unibody is one giant peice. idc what your dictionary says, go asky anyone. i guess tuner guys dont agree. but its cool.
