"My windows are fogged pretty well in the winter every morning, but my defroster takes care of it just fine. I have a DC so I'm not sure if the DA comes with the rear windshield defroster or not, but I would assume it does."
There's a rear defroster button and lines on the back windshield, so the rear defrost should be working but it is not. My dad paid Acura to replace it this summer, so it looks like they did the job wrong. And my windows are definitely foggier than the other people's in my apartment building, so there might be something to the roof leak idea. Looks like I'll have to drive an hour and a half to get back to the dealer and see if they'll fix it. My dad has already sent a lot of money their way, so hopefully, they'll do the right thing and fix it for free. If not, then I'll be done with Acura as driving that far for shoddy service is too much to be bothered with after all this.
I've noticed that 1st gens and 2nd gens get foggier than most cars, but especially the 1st. It might just be the way it is.

There's definitely a problem with it. I had to scrape the ice off the inside of the back window last night!

I think what you noticed has to do with it transferring between four and two-wheel drive. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/overview.aspx?year=1997&make=Lexus&model=LX 450&trimid=-1 I also just noticed that it only gets 14 miles per gallon. Still a sweet car. I can't figure out why they're letting it go so cheap though.
Either theyre desperate for money (probably not in their case) or there is something fucked up with the car. It probably has a salvaged title.

Man thats crazy your dad should of stoped when repairs reached 30 40 percent of the value of the car knowing it needed so much more that is just not money smart it would be different if you were making it a crazy one of a kind ride but to have a stock ride thats too bad and like some of the other guys said you will never recoupe your money back from that take there advice move up to a newer ride and stick with the acura honda makes they are one of the most reliable rides dont let one lemon get you down and some advice learn a little about your ride attemp to make your own repairs (research first of course) if they are to difficult then use a garage but shop around sounds like the they seen you comming with a fat wallet and a honnest garage would of told you it was not worth fixing .Good luck

They are both nice rides im a acura fan i have had many and find them easy to repair and parts a plenty although scion is made by Toyota wich is another great manufacture .Im from Canada and scion has not really taken off here in the tunner world that i have seen. They are both reliable rides my choice would be the acura

DOnt get a Scion... I have a 2005 tC and I prefer to driver my 90 INtegra instead!! Also Toyota sux, I have had the worst problems at their dealerships and with their warranties. Yes I had to use my warranty 3 times and the Scion only has 70k!

@ hereand there I hope not; I wouldn't want him to get shot by some right-winged extremist.
@joeysteg Point taken. I actually bought a Civic once at a Toyota dealer. A few days went by and their cust service called me. They asked if I had any problems with the car. I said yes, the alignment is off and the radio doesn't work. She told me to call the salesman. (He couldn't call me?) He then proceded to tell me, "sorry, you bought it as is." So why did they bother to call me in the first place? Useless...
