What he said.. How did you know it was disconnected without pulling the gauge cluster anyways?

The wire that goes in the clip thats on the speedo gauge is not connected. How can I connect it?
If the problem is what you say the wire came out of the clip

then you would eather crimp it back in the clip or sauder it if that what was holding it befor

I didn't think that you could run it wrong.
However there should be a clip to hold it on the cluster. Right?

When I did my motor swap on my 91 the speedo came out of the trans because I had ran it over something when it was supposed to go under it. Sounds simple, but sometimes that's all it is.

Maybe mine is different? From what i'm pulling out of my memory, it comes out of the fire wall and basically has no where to go but straight to the transmission. There is a little metal thing it attaches to, but that's about it.

You are correct, but there are a few things in it's way, so you have to thread it in the right places as to allow enough slack for it not to pull out.
