Hey, new to the site just bought a 92 RS for $750 about 3 months ago and about two weeks ago it blew a head gasket. I had the head serviced and shaved bought a head gasket set, a timing belt kit, crankshaft front seal, thermo, new drive belts and hoses. Can anyone thing of anything else I should buy?

Note: I have previously replaced plugs, wires, alternator and main relay thanks in advance for the help:lol:

Its cool bro. I know what you mean about the car having one problem at a time. Blame the last owner. Some people don't maintain their cars so a lot of stuff has to get replaced by the time they sell it.

And remember..$750 is a low price for that car. You got what you payed for. You'll probably put $500+ before theirs no problems

This is very true. Sometimes even more. Just like when i bought my Pontiac for 500$ owner before me didn't do jack shit. (My neighbor) But now im making money on the car when i sell it :D

I'm doing as much as I can bc I can afford to buy the parts bc I =m doing all the work, I already dumped 500 before the head gasket blew, alt, relay, tune up, front and rear brakes, its sitting at around a grand with all the stuff I just bought but I think it will be pretty reliable once Im done, dude no one has even changed this thing over to r-134a, I have the retrofit kit and Ill be switching it right after it runs again

You swerve AT potholes or away from? o_O

On top of J13's list, you might consider gaskets. Exhaust/Intake/Oil Pan.. ect..
Basically just think of EVERYTHING that might possibly need replacement ever. ;) Water pump.. check out the oil pump.. that kind of stuff.

i have every new gasket except for oil pan and rear main. the water pump came with the timing belt kit and ive deeply considered dropping the oil pan and checking the oil pump. I dont think the 2 previous owners of this car were very good to it. It was repo'd from the original owner, if that says anything.
