Hood prop? Like a 2x4 to keep the hood open because your actual prop broke?

Or do you mean hood tilt? Where washers are installed to space the portion of the hood near the windshield from the hinge?

For anyone who hasn't heard of the concept..

The idea of raising the back end of your hood is to decrease wind drag. The front of your car becomes a smidge more aerodynamic. This is done with either spacers or a prop. Some people do it because they think it looks cool, but the idea did have a functional origin.

FALSE, it's done to let hot engine bay temperatures escape out via the gap.

honda tuning did a test and it did lower intake temps, and engine bay temps.

Correct. Air enters through air dam, passes over the motor, and through the gap between the hood and the window.

It has no function on a daily driver car, where engine bay temps do not get high enough to necessitate it.

yeah okay hood spacers! its also called hood props.

but yea all gen2 post your pics!
No. Read my first post. Its called Hood TILT.
