get yourself a b16 hydro transmission and swap out the gears, differential, and final drive into your cable transmission casing, very easy and well worth it b4 you do the swap
already comes with a hydro GS-R transmission. I had found a cable b16 transmission to trade for, but after driving a local guy's car with the same overall swap as me, using the innovative cable-to-hydro actuator i posted, i'm convinced it'll be fine. he said he's had it for about a year and a half, and has never had any problems. he gave me the okay to beat on it a bit, so i did some pretty aggressive shifting, and it felt fine. was a little awkward at first, because his clutch has a very different grab point than my DA, but after a few good shifts, it was gravy. felt fine, and he's never had issues. I threw quite a bit at it, with his full permission, and I'm convinced it'll do what I need it to do on my swap.
I believe it was you, also, who suggested I do that in my WTB thread a few weeks back. again, I don't have the time to swap gears, etc. in to the casing. i'm only gonna have a little over a day to do everything from beginning to end. not gonna have time to crack the cases open and play switch-a-roo. i definitely appreciate the advice, and it doesn't seem that hard to do. nothing i can't handle, i just won't have the time to do it, at all.
Jim, thanks.
I'll be in Sterling on Wednesday to pick it up
