I recently became the proud owner of a 2000 Acura Integra GSR. I was leaving my school parking lot this afternoon when a buddy challenged me to a drag in his 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. I was smoked. This shouldnt happen in an Integra. That car is completly stock accept for a few body accessories. What can I do to ensure this never happens again. Keep in mind I am a relative noob to cars and the like. Eager to learn though.
You should start with learning how to drive and learning the basics of how a car works :thumbs up

You should've won, I think you just don't know what you're doing yet. But that's ok, time to learn! If you develop your throttle control, you can launch a GSR at 5500 - 6000 RPM no problem. With good shifts and good throttle control, you should walk that Pathfinder.
No, that loss shouldn't happen but w/e live and learn. I've beat WRX's, older Mustang GT's, B-swapped EF's, etc. on only a mildly-built GSR. I've even held within a length to my friend's 2g AWD DSM at the strip ( when it was mildly built with a 16g lol). And I don't even drag race! Circuit racing FTW
You need to practice a lot, and hang out with good drivers who know what they're doing. A win against a '95 Pathfinder should be all in the technique, even if he/she was using AWD.
BTW you should be shifting at 8 grand, it's totally safe. Peak power on the GSR is 7600 RPM. Shit, I'll run mine up to 8300 at the track if I need to eek out that extra bit. F*ck fuel cut haha
